For 6.10(a), do not assume this is equivalent to being in a static potential. It is not. Instead start with the Lagrangian and derive the Hamiltonian in the rotating reference frame. From this derive the distribution function of positions and momenta. Then calculate the radial distribution by integrating over the canonical momenta.
