This curve shows the specific heat for a model of nearest neighbor springs on the fcc lattice. It was computed from the density of states in this figure. Also shown is the specific heat in the Debye approximation, determined from the Debye density of states in the same figure. The Debye temperature is determined from the density of states at low frequency.
