Award Information

**Please note that Marilyn Stevens Scholarship Award will not be awarded this year (2025).**

Amount: Up to 5 awards will be given with amounts ranging from $1,000 – $4,500

Eligibility:  Must be a current upper-division physics undergraduate, or a current physics graduate student.

Nomination process: Students can download application materials online. Staff and faculty can nominate students. 

Undergraduate students should turn their application materials in to the Undergraduate Advisor, Christian Sanchez (physicsadvising@ucsc.edu

Graduate students should turn their application materials in to Graduate Advisor, Jeremy Parker (physgradadvising@ucsc.edu)

Description:

The Marilyn Stevens Memorial Scholarship is an award designed to honor the former Department Manager of Physics, Marilyn Stevens. It is given to a current upper-division physics undergraduate student and a current physics graduate student. Fellow students, faculty, or staff nominates prospective recipients. The award considers academic excellence, community service, service in and out of UCSC, and any outstanding contribution made to the Physics Department.
